Shah picked up 14 wickets in five matches in Pakistan’s domestic competition, which had three teams participating. It included a six for 41 for PCB Challengers against PCB Dynamites. Apart from Shah, Nashra Sandhu, the slow left-arm spinner and Fatima Sana, the right arm medium pacer, have also been included in the side.
Sadia Iqbal, the left-arm spinner, who made her international debut in the T20Is against Bangladesh, has also been included in the 15-member squad that will be led by
Bismah Maroof.
From the side that played the three T20Is that the hosts won, Ayesha Zafar, the right-handed batter, Anam Amin, the left-arm spinner, and Saba Nazir, the off-spinner, miss out on berths.
Pakistan take on Bangladesh in two ODIs, which are not a part of the ICC ODI Championship. Keeping in mind their last round of those games are against England later in December, the selectors Urooj Mumtaz, Asamavia Iqbal and Marina Iqbal have selected a squad that is a mix of youth and experience.
