Tasmania Women won the toss and elected to field first. Put into bat, SA Scorpion got off a flying start. Openers Bridget Patterson and Tabatha Saville added 39 runs for the first wicket before Patterson got dismissed for 18. Later Tahlia McGrath and Tegan McPharlin played sensibly and added 59 runs for the fourth wicket.
Meg Phillips and Brooke Hepburn scalped 2 wickets each; whereas fall of wickets in regular interval restricted their innings within 157.
Chasing 158, Tasmania Women got the big blow when they lost their opener Stefanie Daffara on the very first over. Georgia Redmayne along with Meg Phillips tried to steady the ship but failed to do so for a long time. Phillips lost her wicket for 11 whereas Thompson scored 15 off 47.
Georgia Redmayne along with Corinne Hall tried to resurrect the innings and added 83 runs for the fourth wicket before Redmayne got out by giving a mid wicket catch to Patterson. Their steady partnership helped Tasmania Women to win the match with 10.2 overs to spare.
Tahlia McGrath, Amanda Wellington and Katelyn Pope picked up one wicket each for SA Scorpions.
