In a match against Sikkim, Garg took Rajasthan over the line with her unbeaten 42 while chasing a mere 97. Her teammate Sangeeta Kumawat, with 21 runs, ensured the chase remained comfortable. Earlier, batting first, Sikkim posted 96 for the loss of six wickets thanks to their captain, Upendran, who smashed four boundaries in her 56-ball 55. Unable to find support at the other end, Upendran was finally dismissed on the last ball of the 17th over which restricted the side to a below-par total.
Meanwhile, Raut gave a brilliant start to Railways’ innings with her 21-ball 32 before Vidarbha’s Kanchan Nagwani, who returned with figures 3 for 8, ran through the top order. Mona Meshram, however, maintained her patience and added 15 runs to post a total of 79 for the loss of eight wickets in 11 overs.
In reply, the top-order of Vidarbha fell cheaply before the middle order batters Vaishnavi Khandkar (25) and Nupur Kohale (18) tried to rebuild the innings. But India internationals Ekta Bisht, Poonam Yadav and Rajeshwari Gayakwad picked up regular wickets to restrict Vidarbha at 68/9 in 11 overs.
The match between Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir was abandoned.
