Anjum Chopra is set to receive the CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at the annual awards function to be held in Mumbai on January 12. Along with her, Krishnamachari Srikkanth is also set to be honoured.

“Srikkanth and Anjum will be conferred with the Lifetime Achievement award for their contributions to Indian cricket,” a BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity. “Everyone in BCCI feels that they are perfect choices for the award.”

The southpaw is still India’s second-highest run-scorer in ODIs with 2856 runs, only behind Mithali Raj’s 6888. She also captained the team in three Tests and had a batting average of 59.66 in them, much superior to her career average of over 30.
