In the letter, the BCCI has cited that the women’s event is completely different from the IPL and they have to shell out more money in order to be associated with the three-team competition. According to the report, the sponsors have the option to opt-out of the Women’s T20 Challenge on November 4, 5, 7 and 9.

Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj will lead Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity respectively. The teams play each other once in league stages with the top two teams playing the final.
