Day four of the Women's Senior T20 Trophy 2019-20 saw Baroda, Bengal, Railways and Vidarbha progress to the semi-finals in the Super League on Wednesday (November 6). In a day that witnessed largely low scoring matches - two of which were thrillers - Meghna Singh's four-wicket haul for Uttar Pradesh (UP) against Karnataka was the standout performance. Disha Kasat top-scored with 39 runs for Vidarbha against Bengal, but her knock was in vain as her team fell short by seven runs. However, they still managed to sneak into the knockouts having beaten UP in the league stages.

In a low scoring game in Mulapadu, Uttar Pradesh posted 75 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Aditi Sharma top-scored with 19 runs.

Chasing just 76, Karnataka were shot out for paltry 47 runs. Their innings lasted just 17.3 overs - Meghna and Shefali Sahu combing to rip through their batting line-up. Only two Karnataka batters got to double-digit scores. UP's 28-run win saw them level with Vidarbha on points, but a loss in to them in the previous round meant the latter progress to the semis with a better head-to-head record.

In another low scoring thriller, Baroda beat Himachal Pradesh (HP) by  10 runs. Batting first Baroda managed to post 82 for the loss of seven wickets. Jenita Fernandes's 24 off 25 balls and Yastika Bhatia's 16 were crucial in Baroda getting to that total. In reply, HP lost regular wickets which didn't help their cause. Only Neena Chaudhary's 27 kept their hopes alive. After her dismissal in the 19th over, Baroda ceased the initiative to record  a win. Tanvir Shaikh, Shalini Sharma and Jaya Mohite picked up two wickets each.

Elsewhere, Bengal kept up their unbeaten streak, defeating Vidarbha by just seven runs. Batting first Bengal posted 108 thanks to important contributions from Mandira Mahapatra (25) and Mita Paul (23). Vaishnavi Khandakar's three wickets allowed Vidarbha to restrict Bengal.

Chasing 109, Kasat's 39 kept her team in the hunt right till the 14th over. However, an incredible spell from Gouher Sultana (1 for 9 in four overs) and a three-fer from Shrayosi Aich meant Vidarbha were unable to push for a win in the end. They were shot out for 101.

In a fairly one-sided contest, Railways comfortably overhauled Maharshtara's 98 with seven wickets to spare. Batting first, Maharashtra took 20 overs to crawl to 98 for 6. It was Kiran Navgire's incredible knock of 27 off just 12 balls, including four sixes, that gave Maharashtra some impetus at the back end of their innings. In reply, Railways' powerful batting order raced to the target in just 16 overs losing only three wickets. Sheral Rozario top-scored with 30 runs.
