New Update
Batting first, Vidarbha posted 133, thanks to Fulmali, who carried her bat for a 40-ball 62. In reply, Rajasthan could only reach 70 with five wickets down and none of their batters going past the 18-run mark. Vaishnavi Khandkar finished with four wickets, giving away just 14 runs in the process.
In another Group B clash, it was redemption time for Sikkim, who were bundled out for 21 in their first match. Their bowlers, led by two wickets apiece by Shubhi Pandey and Sristi Rai, restricted Jammu and Kashmir for 86 with seven wickets down in their 20 overs. Sikkim chased the target down, with captain Ananya Upendran top-scoring with a 35-ball 29.
Meanwhile, Mithali Raj’s 45 off just 38 balls helped Railways post 125. That score proved too much for Odisha, who finished with five for 62 in their 20 overs. Rajeshwari Gayakwad, the left-arm spinner finished with a very economical figure, picking up two wickets and giving away just two runs in three overs.
