India Green won the toss and chose to field first. Put into bat, India Red got the big blow when they lost their opener N Anusha in the 2nd over. Soon, captain Tanusree Sarkar followed her when she became the second victim of Shannti Kumari.
Wickets started falling at regular intervals as the middle order became the victims of Sushree Dibyadarshini's off-spin. She scalped 3 wickets for 14 runs. Minnu Mani tried her best to score big but didn't get any support from the other batters. She was dismissed after scoring 25 off 23 with 2 fours and a six. India Blue were bowled out within 75 runs.
Shannti Kumari and Sushree Dibyadarshini bagged 3 wickets each; there were two runouts as well, and one wicket each for Saima Thakor and RK Singh for India Green.
India Green chased down the total with ease and took 16.3 overs to reach the target. Opener Nikita Chauhan scored 22 off 34 before getting dismissed. Captain S. Meghana scored an unbeaten 34 off 44 balls while Disha Kasat made 17 off 22 balls and helped India Green win comprehensively.
India Green will now face India Blue in the final of BCCI U-23 T20 Challenger Trophy in Mysore on October 8.
