Knight, who injured her lower back in the first ODI against Australia at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua had to be stretchered off the field early in the first innings. She was unable to bat in West Indies' chase of 309.

Her replacement, Cooper, has played 42 ODIs with just a sole half century to her name. She last represented West Indies earlier this June against England. However, her woeful form – where she had scores of 6,4 and 0 in the three ODIs – saw her being left out of the team.

She joined the other members of the squad on Monday, ahead of the final ODI of the series at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua to be played on Wednesday (September 11).

West Indies would look to avoid a whitewash in the third and final ODI. They haven’t lost all the games of a bilateral ODI series at home since 2003 against Sri Lanka.
