Provincial One-Day tournament on Sunday (October 24). Western Province and Northern Titans also registered wins in other matches of the day.

At the Jamieson Oval, Brits’ 76-ball 106 along with a half-century by Masabata Klass, propelled Dragons to 322 for seven in 50 overs. Madison Landsman took two wickets, but apart from Tsholofelo Marema, every other bowler from Easterns went for runs. In reply, Easterns could only score 86 runs in 33.3 overs as Erxleben ran through their batting line-up, taking four wickets.

At the St. Stithians Baytop in Johannesburg, Lara Goodall and Alexis le Breton scored half-centuries for Western Province to propel them to 258 runs. But they were bowled out in the 46th over. In the chase, KZN Coastal lost two early wickets, but Courtney Gounden (48) and Chloe Tryon (61) steadied the ship. Tryon’s second consecutive half-century of the competition went in vain as Coastal were bowled out for 216.

Lions' chase started on shaky grounds as Eliz-Mari Marx trapped captain Sharne Mayers on the second ball of the innings. Nkuli Thabethe missed her well-deserved half-century by just one run before Nicolien Janse van Rensburg and Ricea Coetzer took three wickets to sink Lions for 161 runs in 48.4 overs to help Titans to a 23-run win.
