Match 1
Papua New Guinea played against the hosts Vanuatu in the first session at the Ground 1.
Vanuatu gave debut to their entire playing XI whereas Papua New Guinea fielded three debutants. Papua New Guinea won the toss and elected to bat first.
The visitors did not start off well as the skipper Aura was runout on the second ball with out troubling the scorers. The other opener S Jimmy built a patient 85 run partnership with Ruma who scored 66 runs off 66 deliveries (7x4, 1x6). Tau accelerated the scoring by hitting 21 runs in 13 deliveries to take the total to 144-4.
Chasing 145 for the win, inexperienced Vanuatu were no match for disciplined bowling by Papua New Guinea bowlers. Ravina Oa gave crucial breakthroughs as she picked up 5 wickets for 13 runs. Only Tastuki put up a significant resistance as she scored 25 runs.
Vanuatu were bowled out for 87 on the last delivery of the match, handing a 57 run victory to Papua New Guinea. Ravina Oa was awarded player of the match.

Japan took on Indonesia in the 2nd match of the series which was played in the first session at Ground 2.
Indonesia gave debut to 1 player whereas Japan fielded all debutants in their starting line up. Japan won the toss and elected to bat first. Apart from the opener Erika Oda stayed unbeaten with 36 runs, only Miyaji gave a significant contribution with 18 runs. Japan posted the total of 101-6 in 20 overs.
Chasing 102 in 20 overs for win, Indonesia's Anggraeni and Winda Prastini started confidently and added 58 runs for the first wicket out of which Anggraeni scored 40 runs. Indonesia lost 3 wickets as they chased the target in 17.2 overs and thus claimed a 7-wicket victory. Endo took 2 wickets for Japan.

Indonesia won the toss and elected to bat first. After a watchful start of 5 overs, Natasha Ambo of Papua New Guinea ran through the midfield of Indonesia, claiming 5-10. Indonesia could only reach 69-7 in 20 overs, thanks to unbeaten 30 by Sakarini.
Chasing 70 for a victory, Papua New Guinea lost 2 early wickets in first four overs. Arua and Tau built a patient partnership of 52 runs for the third wicket. Arua fell with target just 6 runs away. Tau remained unbeaten on 30 in 27 deliveries.

Both the teams gave debuts to their playing XI. Fiji won the toss and elected to bat first. Apart from Waqavakatoga who scored 27 runs, no other batter reached 20 run mark. Fiji finished their inning with the total of 78 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Mulivai took 2 wickets for Samoa.
Chasing 79 to win, Samoa lost their first wicket for 33. Captain Regina Lili'i was joined by Mulivai, who continued her form from the first inning. They thrashed Fiji bowlers all over the park. Lili'i remained unbeaten with 37 runs in 28 deliveries and Mulivai scored 20 runs in 15 deliveries to chase the total in just 9.4 overs.
Mulivai was declared player of the match for her all-round performance as Samoa won the match by 9 wickets.
