Germany to play five-match T20I series against France in July

Germany is all set to get back to international cricket as they are scheduled to play five T20 Internationals against France starting from July 8, 2021, at the National Performance Centre, Krefeld.



The last time Germany played international cricket was during the bilateral series against Austria in August 2020. They won the series five-nil. Christina Gough was the leading run-scorer with 239 runs in three innings and Emma Bargna led the bowling charts with ten wickets in four matches. It was in this series German skipper Anuradha Doddaballapur registered her best T20I figures (5/1).



France, on the other hand, will be returning to action after close to two years. Their previous international encounter, too, was against Austria in August 2019, during Quadrangular T20I Series.



The upcoming series will be the first time the two teams play against each other. It will also be the first home series for Germany. The squads for both teams are likely to be announced soon.
