Knight has played 48 T20Is till date with more than 500 runs and 14 wickets in her name. She has played 86 ODIs and 6 Tests for England as well.
"I loved my previous years playing in Hobart, it's a beautiful place with a great group of girls," Knight said. "I'm looking forward to pulling back on the purple and hopefully having some more success with the team."
Salliann Briggs, the new Head Coach of Hurricanes, is excited about Heather's return. She expressed, "Heather is going to bring a massive amount of valuable experience to our Hurricanes team this season."
"We'll be watching her World T20 campaign closely from Australia and we can't wait for her to arrive in Tasmania," she further added.
Hurricanes will start their campaign on December 1 against the Perth Scorchers at Junction Oval, Melbourne.
