New Update
Day had scored 53 and 182* against Lindisfarne while opening the batting for her Premier League club, the University of Tasmania in October. "This season for me is all about developing my T20 game and understanding my strengths," said Day. "I'm looking to forward to being able to work with the international players and being able to learn as much as I possibly can."
All-rounder Emma Thompson will play the key role for Hobart Hurricanes. "I'll be creating plenty of energy in the field for the Hurricanes this summer and hope to be a consistent middle order batting option. It's great to be playing alongside some high-calibre international players with Heather Knight returning."
"No doubt they will bring plenty of experience for game day but also provide some great learning opportunities in training sessions," she added.
Head Coach Salliann Briggs shared her excitement about the batting line-up. "There's no doubt our batting stocks is an area we've tried to strengthen over the off-season. The signings of Thompson and Day as well as the others we've made do exactly that, it's going to be an exciting summer."
Hobart Hurricane will start their journey on 1st December against Perth Scorchers in Melbourne.
