India Red qualified for the final in the ongoing BCCI U-19 T20 Challenger Trophy (2018-19). India Red, having restricted India Green to 78/10, registered a convincing 8-wicket win over their opponents.

India Red won the toss and elected to bat first. Opener Amanjot Kaur fell for a duck. Soon, Drishya I V too followed her. Shafali Verma, along with captain Ayushi Soni added 35 runs on board before Soni got dismissed after scoring 10 off 15.

Pressure fell upon the middle order batters to resurrect the innings, but they failed to do so. Fall of wickets at regular interval ended India Green's innings with 78 on board.

Sayali Satghare scalped 3 wickets, Tejashwani Duragad picked up 2 while Manpreet Kaur bagged 1 wicket for India Red.

Chasing 79, India Red got off a flying start as the openers SM Singh and Richa added 46 runs within 8.4 overs before the latter got out after having scored a 27-ball 19. Next batter Simran too fell for a duck. Captain Neetu Gaur added the rest of the runs and India Red comfortably won the match.

Saranya Gadwal and Shafali Verma picked up 1 wicket each for India Green.
