India Blue won the toss and chose to bat first. But their decision was not fruitful as they lost their opener and captain Kajal Jena in the 2nd over. LM Inamdar and Shobha Devi started to build the partnership and both added 19 runs. Before they could move further, Manpreet Kaur picked up L M Inamdar and handed over the second breakthrough to her team. Shobha Devi followed her, after scoring only 5 off 20.
Middle-order couldn’t stay longer at the crease as the wickets started falling at regular intervals. E Padmaja tried her best to score big but didn’t get any support from the other batters. She scored unbeaten 26 off 37 with 2 fours. Manpreet Kaur bagged 2 wickets; Simran, Tejashwini Duragad and Tanya Rao scalped 1 wicket and restricted India Blue to 85 runs in 20 overs.
While chasing, India Red took only 17.4 overs to reach the target. Openers SM Singh and Richa built a 21-run partnership before the later got out. SM Singh soon followed her after scoring 14 off 19. Manpreet Kaur scored a quick 20 off 18 with 2 fours helped India Red win the title comfortably in VJD Method. For India Blue, SB Keerthana scalped 3 wickets and Anjali Singh bagged two.
