Isobel Joyce has been appointed to the position of Women's & Girls Development Officer for Cricket Leinster.

Joyce is the former Irish captain with 995 runs and 66 wickets to her name in 79 ODIs. She also has a high score of an unbeaten 56 and 33 wickets over the span of 55 T20Is. She played in her final match for Ireland in November 2018, during the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 tournament.

Her appointment sends a strong message about the development and transformation of Women's cricket in Leinster. The objective is to grow and develop Women's cricket across the province over the next three years. The target is a 50% increase in the number of participating clubs and a 30% increase in the number of teams involved, as per cricketleinster.ie.

Joyce will formally start in her new role with Cricket Leinster on 1st May. She will also continue in her recently appointed coaching capacity at Clontarf.
