Kim Cotton and Ahsan Raza will be the on-field umpires for the final of the T20 World Cup 2020 while Gregory Brathwaite and Langton Rusere will be the third and fourth umpires, the ICC announced on Friday (March 6).
The final, which will see four-time winners Australia take on first-time finalists India, is on Sunday (March 8), International Women’s Day, and it will be the first final for New Zealand’s Cotton. She also stood in the second semi-final on Thursday (March 5) and the game on Sunday will be her fifth in the tournament.
It will also be Raza’s first final as an umpire, who was due to officiate in the first semi-final that was washed out. He had also stood in the Australia-India semi-final clash in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2017.
Apart from Brathwaite and Rusere, who was the on-field umpire in the final in 2018, Chris Broad will be the match referee, which will complete the set of match officials for the title-clash.
