In preparation for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier later this month, Malaysia will be traveling to Sri Lanka for a series of practice matches against Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and a women's development team. The tour will last from November 8 to 16 after which the team will travel to Dubai for the qualifiers.

This will be Malaysia's first overseas tour since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic early last year. They have played several practice matches at home in a strict bio-secure environment.

The team, led by Winifred Anne Duraisingham, will play seven matches through the tour, five at the Army Ground in Panagoda and two at the SLAOC Ground in Dombagoda. They will kick off the tour with two matches against Sri Lanka Army on November 8 and 9, before facing Sri Lanka Navy on November 11 and Army again on Nov 12. After another day of rest, Malaysia will close out the tour with three matches on consecutive days against Sri Lanka Army (Nov 14 and Nov 16) and Sri Lanka Cricket Development XI (Nov 15).
