Opting to bat first, Nepal made a mammoth 164 for thanks to Rana Magar’s 72-ball knock. She hit seven boundaries during the innings and shared a 67-run partnership for the second wicket with Jyoti Pandey. They were aided by some aggressive batting by Dolly Bhatta and Sarita Magar as well. Bhatta made nine-ball 12, while Magar remained not out on 17 of 11 balls. Nepal scored 42 runs in the last five overs on their way to a formidable total.
In reply, Qatar couldn’t do anything to avoid the 3-0 defeat as they lost Shrutiben Rana in the third delivery of the chase. Sabnam Rai bowled the wicket-keeper for a first ball duck. Although Aleena Khan and Aysha contributed with 19 and 13 respectively – the only two batters to reach the double figures, they were never in the contest.

For Nepal, Rai, Saraswati Kumari and skipper Rubina Chhetry took one wicket apiece. Rana Magar was named player of the match for her efforts, while Chhetry walked away with the player of the series award for all-round performance during the series.
