Cricket Australia, on Thursday (August 22), announced their squad for the upcoming Women's U-19 Tri-Series in which they take on New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The tri-series is set to commence on September 19 in Brisbane.
The Youth Selection Panel has picked 15-player squads for each format (T20 and 50-over) for the Tri-Series scheduled in Brisbane and Gold Coast. Former Australian player Kristen Beams has been named as the head coach. The home side will play four T20s and two One-Day matches in the 14-day tri series.
The Australian squad includes three players of the Indian origin in Ribhya Syan, Samara Dulvin and Hasrat Gill. “Their inclusion reflects the growing diversity within Australian cricket and the significant contributions of players with Indian heritage,” CA stated.
