Lancashire Thunder’s Head Coach, Alex Blackwell, said, "Securing Nicole as one of our three overseas signings is a huge plus. She was an outstanding performer during Perth Scorchers run to the final of the Women’s Big Bash League and I am confident that she will thrive at her new home Emirates Old Trafford, for what will be her first stint in the Kia Super League."

Blackwell further added, "As a former Australia teammate of Nicole’s, I understand how she operates in a team and I have witnessed her game evolve to become a world-class performer across all three formats. To work with Nicole this time in a coaching capacity will be very enjoyable and I know she has a lot to offer our team."

Nicole Bolton with excitement, added, "This will be my first time playing in the Kia Super League and I can’t wait to get going with all of my teammates. We have a lot of international talent here at Lancashire Thunder and although last season was a frustrating one for the squad, I am confident that we have the ability to challenge this time around.

I am looking forward to arriving in England, meeting all of my new teammates and playing at a top class stadium like Emirates Old Trafford for the first time."
