Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that after the series against South Africa, they will be touring Zimbabwe for three 50-over matches and two T20Is in February.
The T20I series between Pakistan and South Africa will get over on February 3, after which the Pakistan team will travel to Harare, where the five matches would be played from February 11 to February 20, 2021.
The three 50-over matches are scheduled as a preparation for both Pakistan and Zimbabwe for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2021 Qualifier, which is expected to happen in July. Following the 50-over matches, they will play a two-match T20I series.
David Hemp, the head coach of Pakistan, said that it would be helpful for them to competitive matches in the lead up to the World Cup Qualifiers. “This is an excellent news for our team as we need sufficient competitive matches so that we go into the World Cup qualifiers as best prepared as practically possible in these difficult times.”
The series will be Zimbabwe's return to international cricket since May 2019.
