Ellyse Perry’s golden run in the sport continued after she won the Belinda Clark Award for the third time, thereby winning the top honour in Australian cricket on Monday (February 10).
Perry, who had an outstanding 2019, showcased dominant performances in the Ashes – both in Test and ODIs – as well as in the series against Sri Lanka later in the year. Her best of 7/22 in the ODI against England was the best by an Australian woman. The allrounder got 161 votes, comfortably beating Alyssa Healy (153), the last year winner, and Jess Jonassen (87).
Meanwhile, Alyssa Healy won the ODI Player of the Year and the T20I Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. She scored 372 runs in the year with a best of 148 not out – the highest individual score in the format. In ODIs, she averaged over 60, striking at 110 runs per 100 balls.

Molly Strano, who led the bowling charts in the fifth edition of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) was adjudged Domestic Player of the Year award while Tayla Vlaeminck, the fast bowler, won the Betty Wilson Young Cricketer of the Year award.
For her work as an Ambassador of the Kindness Factory, grassroots cricket and upcoming book Victress, which features 35 iconic female athletes and their stories, Corinne Hall was named the Community Champion.
Former Australian allrounder Sharon Tredrea was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.
