CSA (Cricket South Africa) and SACA (South African Cricketers' Association). Such a deal will benefit the Women's cricketers in South Africa, on par with their male counterparts.

The MOU will be a significant step to regulate the alliance between the governing body and the Cricketers' Federation of South Africa. It also proposes a "revenue-sharing model" similar to the lines of the presently established contract system in place for the Australian players.

Moore, the new CEO also made a clear-cut statement about the Proteas women's current changes and the contemporary plans put in place for the Women cricketers that there were many changes that took place like

  • The salary that was hiked this fiscal year

  • Increase in number of contracted players

  • The team also has a permanent-assistant coach and a Manager

  • They travel by Business class

  • They have single-rooms for the international and home tournaments

He went on to say that through these plans mentioned above, CSA is working to give the same treatment to all its players. Thabang also explicitly told that there were also personal development plans in place for the overall development of the women players.

He expressed that there are a lot of things that changed in the last 8 months and will continue to change in the future in reference to the Proteas Women Cricket.

It is noteworthy to find that this MOU will be a step closer to narrow the gap between the pay parity between the male and women cricketers.  The deal also includes the benefits like retirement and medical cover for women cricketers.

The previous MOU expired in April and was extended for another two months. The finalized stages of the next MOU will be signed in the upcoming days, as its final deliberations are in place right now.

In the media briefing, Thabang Moroe stated about the MOU completion that it is, "99 per cent done."
