Naik scored a scintillating unbeaten 91 off just 52 balls while Parab supported her with a 41-ball 79. That effort saw Goa post 257 in 20 overs for the loss of just two wickets. In reply, Arunachal Pradesh were restricted to eight for 74, with Naik also returning with two for 15 in her three overs.
In another Group E fixture, opener Neha Bhargava’s unbeaten 74 saw Delhi post 164 for four, which proved 89 too many for Mizoram, who were stalled at 75 for five.
Meanwhile, Bhakti Tamore’s unbeaten 87 didn’t prove enough for Pondicherry, as they fell 20 runs short of Tripura’s 142, which was posted on the back of an undefeated 52 by Mouchaity Debnath, the wicketkeeper batter.
Among bowlers, Uttar Pradesh’s Anjali Singh shone on Day 4 of the tournament with a four-wicket haul, that restricted Punjab to 111 for eight, which was easily overhauled by UP.
Apart from her, Aditi Gaikwad from Maharashtra had three wickets to show for just two runs, that deserved a mention. That effort saw Tamil Nadu getting bowled out for 100. Maharashtra eventually got home to win by three wickets, but not before Keerthana Balakrishnan’s stingy spell that saw her concede just seven runs in four overs in return of three wickets.
In Guntur, Meghalaya registered an upset win over Assam in their group A clash.
