Meg Lanning resumed duty as their skipper in the ODIs and is set to lead the side for the T20 series as well.

India led by Harmanpreet Kaur in their previous outing in the format had thumped South Africa in South Africa in the 5-match series which they won 3-1. The openers in Mithali Raj with 3 half-centuries in the tournament led India's batting department with her partner at the other end Smriti Mandhana chipping in with good innings in the series. 17-year-old Jemimah Rodrigues scored plenty of runs in the series as well. India will hope similar outings from the top 3 and the batters coming lower down the order. Deepti Sharma will have to chip in with both bat and ball whenever needed.

India in the form of Harmanpreet Kaur and Veda Krishnamurthy have two aggressive players who can blast their way to quick runs in no time and India would hope that the duo who have participated in the Women's Big Bash League in Australia to come good. Pooja Vastrakar was in the side as a pure bowler. However, her superb performance with the bat in the ODI series against Australia would've made the Indians happy.

India's bowling department will get a boost as the experienced Jhulan Goswami returns in the mix. India missed the pacer in the ODI series. Indian bowlers will have to be at top of their games if they wish to contain the aggressive Aussie and English batters in the series.

India Squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Mithali Raj, Jemimah Rodrigues, Veda Krishnamurthy, Rumeli Dhar, Shikha Pandey, Taniya Bhatia (wk), Pooja Vastrakar, Poonam Yadav, Ekta Bisht, Jhulan Goswami, Anuja Patil, Deepti Sharma, Mona Meshram

Australians, on the other hand, were terrific in the ODI series, however, their last T20 outing against the third team of the tri-series England was not good as the visitors lost the 3-match series 1-2.

Australia's batting looks stronger with the return of Meg Lanning. Their destructive opener Alyssa Healy has already blasted a ton in the ODI series and would love to continue her glorious run in the T20I series. Beth Mooney was no less than destructive in Australia's last T20I outing against England. Although her 117-run innings went in vain after England's opener Danni Wyatt responded with a ton, a 57-ball hundred. In Ellyse Perry they have a terrific all-rounder who can turn things around on her day. Ashleigh Gardner and Elyse Villani can destroy any batting lineup with their aggressive play.

In the bowling department, Megan Schutt and Ellyse Perry will lead the pace attack of Australia in the tri-series while a lot of responsibility will be shared by spinners of the side which includes Jess Jonassen and Ashleigh Gardner. The likes of Delissa Kimmince and Amanda-Jade Wellington will have to share the bowling workload with the other bowlers from the side.

England have beaten Australia in Australia as mentioned above in the 3-match series. The English side is going to miss their star wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Taylor and Katherine Brunt for the series. England's top-order had failed the last time they played T20 internationals apart from a magnificent century from Danielle Waytt who was promoted as an opener in the final T20I of the series. England's batting will revolve around their skipper Heather Knight, Danielle Wyatt, and Tammy Beaumont along with all-rounder Natalie Sciver. It will be the duo of Anya Shrubsole who will lead the pace attack of the English side as they take on India and Australia in the series. Danielle Hazell along with skipper Knight and Danielle Wyatt will have the responsibility of rolling their wrists as the spinners in the side.
England Squad: Heather Knight(c), Tammy Beaumont, Kate Cross, Alice Davidson Richards, Sophie Ecclestone, Tash Farrant, Katie George, Jenny Gunn, Alex Hartley, Danielle Hazell, Amy Ellen Jones, Anya Shrubsole, Bryony Smith, Natalie Sciver, Fran Wilson, Danielle Wyatt

ODI series in Baroda saw a huge crowd coming in to support Women's Cricket. As the attention shifts to the quickest format of the game, it will be interesting to see how Mumbai responds to it. With Women's IPL being in demand, a great crowd at the Brabourne Stadium would help the same become a reality soon.
