In 115 ODIs, Siriwardene has 1976 runs to show apart from having 121 wickets to her credit. In 74 T20Is, she has 69 wickets and leads the wicket-takers’ charts for Sri Lanka in international cricket.
Yasoda Mendis, the batter, makes a comeback to the national side in both the formats. She last played for the Lankans in ODIs in 2017 and the World T20 in 2018 was her last assignment in the shortest format.
Ama Kanchana, the right-arm pacer, also has been picked, after last playing international cricket in 2018.
Apart from the 15-member squad that travels to Australia, Sri Lanka have announced five players to be on standby. They are Hasini Perera, Prasadani Weerakkody, Sathya Sandeepani, Sachini Nisansala and Madushika Meththananda.
The series commences from September 29 and ends on October 9, with three T20Is and three ODIs to be played at North Sydney Oval, Sydney and Allan Border Field, Brisbane respectively.
