After registering their maiden T20I win against Scotland yesterday, Netherlands romped back-to-back victories, defeating Germany by 131 runs.

Germany won the toss and sent in Netherlands to bat first. Sterre Kallis took centre stage, ripping apart Germany's bowling attack, smashing her way into history books. She equaled Meg Lanning's record of 126 not out, the highest T20I score in women's cricket. Her knock included 10 boundaries and cleared the rope five times in the 76 balls she faced. She was ably supported by Denise van Deventer (40) down the other end. The two put on 134 runs for the second wicket, leading Netherlands to a mammoth total of 196-3.

The German bowlers had no reply for the Netherlands destructive batting. Stephanie Frohnmayer and Christina Gough were the only bowlers to claim a scalp, while the third wicket fall was courtesy of a run out, executed by Gough.

Chasing the huge total, German faltered. Their openers played slowly again, with both going at a strike rate of below 50, and were both dismissed in single figures. Gough was the only one to reach double figures, scoring a 33-ball 22. In the end though, Netherlands were too strong for a feeble German side who were playing in just their second T20I. Germany lost seven wickets for 65 runs at the end of their 20 overs, falling 131 runs short of the total.

For the Netherlands, Kallis starred with the ball too, claiming two scalps. Iris Zwelling and Annemijn van Beuge also took two wickets each.

Netherlands, after this win have four points, while Scotland has two and Germany remain winless.
