Shweta Sehrawat's India A clinched the Emerging Teams Asia Cup in a dominating fashion, Shreyanka Patil was the Player of the Tournament, picking up 9 wickets in total in her first-ever campaign for India.

Shweta Sehrawat's India entered the Emerging Teams Asia Cup to continue the legacy of the U19 T20 World Cup triumph. A rain-marred tournament did not hinder the dominance of the women in blue. Shreyanka Patil, donning the India jersey for the first time, announced herself in a grand fashion. A five-wicket haul while conceding just two runs in the first game against Hong Kong. 

India reached the final without having to do much. With group matches and semi-finals being abandoned gained direct qualification. But, Shweta Sehrawat's unit faced a challenging task in the final. India was up against a Bangladesh side that had 201 T20I appearances.



Shreyanka Patil's four-wicket haul, her RCB counterpart Kanika Ahuja's all-round performance, and Mannat Kashyap's three wickets ensured a 31-run victory for India. The junior side added the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup to ICC U19 T20 World Cup to their cabinet.
