Susie Rowe, former England international, is set to turn out for Kent County Cricket Club for the 2020 season. Originally from Kent, the right-hand batter represented the county between 2004 and 2012, winning five one-day titles along the way - in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2012. She was also a member of Kent's T20 title winning team in 2011 and 2012.

Over a 70-match career, Rowe scored a total of 1,262 runs at an average over 35. She also represented England in 22 T20Is and one ODI, collecting 126 runs at a strike rate of 107.69.

Having stepped away from the game in 2015 following two seasons with Surrey, Rowe went on to play in the Women's Hockey League Premier Division for Canterbury Hockey Club. She also went on to represent the England Under-21 team.

The 32-year-old is now set to return to the world of competitive cricket, and is clearly excited by the opportunity to represent her home county again.

“The profile of women’s cricket has massively grown in the past few years and it’s been fantastic to see," Rowe said. “With England’s Women’s World Cup win in 2017 and the introduction of the Women’s Hundred, it’s a great time to be involved with the sport and it’s a real motivator for women to get into cricket."

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to pull on the Kent Women jersey once more, and I’m really looking forward to hitting the ground running back amongst a very talented group here.”

Paul Downton, Director of cricket at Kent, is happy to have Rowe back in Kent colours and believes the seasoned campaigner will be an asset to the team.

“Susie’s achievements as a Kent Women player during her first spell here are remarkable," Paul Downton said. “To play at (the) international level and also win seven domestic trophies as a Kent player shows that Susie is a very talented cricketer, and she will be an asset to have amongst what is still a very young and talented group in the Kent Women’s squad.”
