Her debut game for Breakers ended in a defeat for her side from Western Australia while she hit a 29 off 44 balls in her second game against Victoria enroute victory for her team.
The Australian under-19 representative hit 194 runs from her opening two Premier Cricket matches, form she will be hoping to carry into the Women's Big Bash League this summer. The 19 year old joins a squad with Ellyse Perry as skipper and Alyssa Healy and Ash Gardner - all three who are currently representing Australia at the World T20.
The squad also possesses the South African duo of Marizanne Kapp and Dane van Niekerk.
Speaking on the signing of her first Big Bash contract, Wilson said she is grateful for the Sixers pathway which allowed her to reach this point.
"I was quite lucky to be the development rookie for the Sixers in WBBL|02 and in the train-on squad last season, which allowed me to experience that professional environment. The past two seasons have been great in terms of training with the girls and getting to know them, but now being fully-contracted and actually being able to hopefully play some games is really cool."
Jodie Hawkins, General Manager of the Sydney Sixers said
"Tahlia is a young player who has been around the Sixers set up for the past few seasons so we are really excited for her to join the squad list for WBBL|04. Tahlia is a talented batter and a developing wicket keeper who adds enormous value to the Club both on the field and off the field. She always has a smile on her face and a really positive attitude, she’s just a pleasure to have around."
The Sixers play their first game against Melbourne Stars on December 1.
