New Update
As narrated by Yash Lahoti from the Brabourne Stadium.
Often in life, we come across stories wherein a small step leads to a big stepping stone. Now, when you yourself play a small but important role in it, it makes you feel happy.
When you watch someone who's beaten the odds with regards to what they've done, you want them to conquer the world.
Given the response that Women Cricketers get and the turnout for their matches, it is always heartening to see some young ones coming out there to watch the matches from the stadium.
As usual (just like the 1st match between India and Australia), there were around 300 people in the stands at the CCI, Mumbai for the Australia vs England match.
There was this girl named Durga, a young school girl from Mumbai, studying in Grade 6 who had come. She had skipped her school to attend the Australia vs England match.

Being seated near the commentary box, she had a constant eye towards it. She wanted to meet the commentators and say "Hello" to them. She was denied by a guard as it was against the rules though. "Keenly observing the happenings, I asked her if she wished to meet the commentators. She readily agreed and thus, I decided to tweet about it."
She didn't have to wait long as Anjum Chopra and Isa Guha came out from their busy schedule to greet this young girl Durga. They not only met her and clicked a picture with her, they actually spent about good 7-10 minutes with her. Mel Jones, in the meantime, was busy with her commentary stint. But she had assured that she would meet her.

This young girl Durga, who had come to the stadium in her Cricket whites and with a Cricket bat, hopes to represent India some day. When someone at such a young age, has an eye for the future, you know she is something special.
Now, the enthusiasm and excitement on this young girl's face shows how keen and involved she is towards the game. We wish Durga a really successful life ahead and hopefully, she would become a wonderful Cricketer in future. Please let her play, don't stop her from chasing her dreams!

This has resulted in her being able to cherish a moment she'll remember forever. She'll become motivated to chase her dream of becoming a Cricketer through it. One shouldn't forget the wonderful gesture of Mel Jones, Isa Guha and Anjum Chopra, who obliged to meet this young girl after just reading a tweet from us.
Thus, it is small moments like these which form a massive part in the upbringing of the game. When the ones who matter support in a good cause, the result is always positive. And it was indeed a fruitful experience for the young Durga today.

While the match was scripting its own story through the proceedings of play, another cute and wonderful story was being built in the stands.

Thus, after the match and before the presentation ceremony, Mel Jones came running towards her, met her and greeted her. That was a very sweet and kind gesture from the commentators.

"This has always been the aim of Women's CricZone! We want to promote Women's Cricket and lay the foundation for the betterment of young girls in sports in future. Thus, despite not being associated with Durga in any way, I tried to do something for her and succeeded in it."
