Ireland captain Laura Delany won the toss and elected to bowl first. Both the Scotish openers were going well until O'Reilly got the wicket of Jack in the 6th over of the innings. After that, the 18 year old young sensation Sarah Bryce continued her form from the last game. She played till the innings got completed scoring 49* off 55 balls with 2 fours in her innings.
Delany took the wicket of her opposite number Kathryn who supported Sarah. Other than Sarah Bryce, none of the batters were able to execute it correctly. Scotland managed to score 98/2 in 20 overs. All the Irish bowlers were equally brilliant but skipper Delany was extraordinary with the figures of 1/13. O'Reilly carrying her momentum from the previous game managed to pick up a single wicket.
The target was not big but it was interesting to see that how many overs will Ireland take to chase down 99. Because it was the good chance for Ireland to win the match with the high economy rate. In-form Cecelia Joyce & last game's Player of the Match Clare Shellington opened the innings for the Ireland. Shillington continued her rich vein of form smashing boundaries one after another.
Kathryn Bryce took the consolidatory wicket of Shillington on 47 missing out on a well-deserved half-century. Rest of the job was done by Cecelia Joyce and Gaby Lewis as they won the match by 9 wickets with 4.2 overs to spare. Cecelia Joyce remained unbeaten on 35*(47).
