One notable name in the 23-member squad is that of Ayabonga Khaka. The medium-pacer had a good outing in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020, where she picked up four wickets, including a best of 3 for 25 in the opening game against England. Yolani Fourie, the off-spinner, remains in charge with the squad that has several other international names in its ranks.
Off-spinner Raisibe Ntozakhe, wicket-keeper Nonkululeko Thabethe and allrounder Robyn Searle, who have all played for South Africa, have been included in the unit. Zimbabwean international Sharne Mayers is also in the squad.
