"Being part of the Northerns Ladies team is an honour," said Kirk. "I always feel blessed to be able to put the daisy on and show off my talent. Being part of the team is like being part of a family."
Kirk made a name for herself while performing well in the Titans Bash, a competition which may not take place this year due to ongoing coronavirus outbreak. The 20-year-old is currently spending her time in training and hoping to make an impression when an opportunity eventually comes.

I am definitely looking forward to playing with the new youngsters and seeing them showing off their talent."
Northerns' squad is certainly not lacking firepower as the squad has enough experience in the form of Mignon du Preez and Sune Luus. Naturally, Kirk is happy to take learnings from the two experienced players.
"Having Mignon and Sune back is always good, because they give the squad a lot of experience," she said. "As a player, you learn a lot from them, both on and off the field."
"I would like to contribute with the bat so that it would lead to the team's success in winning games. Another aspect I am really keen to work on is developing the youngsters by guiding them on and off the field."
